I saw in 2011 at a party in Glasgow, like I've seen in every year since... um... 2006? I don't live in Glasgow any more, so I wasn't hosting my own party, but it was a greatly fun time. On New Years Day, my boyfriend and I went out to the Lake of Menteith (see above) to have a look at the totally frozen over surface and generally marvel at the niceness.
You may have noticed that I took some time off the blog. Well. I'm back. It's been sufficiently long since I submitted, was examined on, corrected and resubmitted my thesis that I can actually bear sitting at the keyboard and doing some writing. This blog recommences now as a crafts/life/media/anticipation blog, and will be linked in with the @ellielabelle twitterfeed like it's supposed to have been all along.
The other internet project I want to get going in 2011 is The Explainatron, which is going to be the popular science blog, attempting to explain and comment on sciency matters and put my money where my public understanding of science mouth is. I've got a bit of actual science writing to do for work this week, but after that, if I don't start operating the Explainatron, you can internet shout at me.
Other things new with me for 2011:
- Attempting to use LaTeX tags in my html, without much success
- Flamenco lessons!
- Covering items with hotfix rhinestones
- Attempts to increase my Personal Impact statistics
- Sort Your Life Out Thursdays!
- Hilarity as I recommence flute playing after I don't know how long
- More of the same nonsensical wittering that you so loved before I forgot how to write for more than 140 characters in one go.
